'ग्राहक देवो भव' हे तत्व उराशी बाळगून दि २५ ऑक्टोबर १९६५ या शुभदिनी आम्ही 'भागवत कुटुंबीयांनी' सुरु केलेले 'तृप्ती' उपाहारगृह सुवर्ण महोत्सवी वर्ष साजरे करीत आहे.( २५ ऑक्टोबर २०१५ पर्यंत)

दि २५ ऑक्टोबर १९६५ रोजी तत्कालीन सभापती माननीय 'कै.बाळासाहेब भारदे साहेब' व हिंदू-हृद्यसम्राट माननीय 'कै. बाळासाहेब ठाकरे साहेब' यांच्या शुभाशिर्वादाने 'तृप्ती' या आपल्या आवडत्या उपाहारगृहाचे उदघाटन झाले.

'तृप्ती' ने अनेकदा कात टाकली. काळाच्या मानाने असलेले तृप्तीचे आधुनिक अंतर-बाह्य स्वरूप तसेच कल्पकतेने केले जाणारे सर्वसमावेशक चवींचे नवनवे खाद्य- पदार्थ ही तृप्तीची खासियत ठरली. तृप्ती कायमच काळाच्या ओघात ग्राहकाभिमुक सुधारणा करीत राहिली. तृप्तीने पार्सल, घरपोच सेवा व विविध समारंभांसाठी खाद्य-पदार्थ सेवा पण सुरु केली.

रुचकर खाद्यपदार्थां सोबत स्वच्छता, टापटीपपणा, नम्र- मनाजोगी सेवा व ग्राहकांशी वैयक्तिक आपुलकीचे संबंध या मूल्यांवर आधारित एका मराठी कुटुंबाचा हा व्यवसाय आता तिसरी पिढी सांभाळत आहे. दादर मध्ये खरेदी / मनोरंजन पण 'तृप्ती'त मात्र शुधाशांती हे जणू समीकरणच तयार झाले. उत्कृष्ट मराठी पद्धतीच्या जेवणासाठी / खाद्य पदार्थासाठी खवय्यांचे पाय तृप्तीकडे वळू लागले. हा व्यवसाय वृद्धिंगत होण्यामागे आपल्या सारख्या असंख्य ग्राहकांचे / हितचिंतकांचे / माल पुरवठा करणा-यांचे तसेच आपल्या सेवेत आम्हांस साथ देणाऱ्या आमच्या सहकाऱ्यांचे; उदंड प्रेम व आस्था आहे याची आम्हास विनम्र जाणीव आहे.

तृप्तीकडे वळणारी आपली पावले हीच आमची पुण्याई.

ॠणनिर्देश-

आमचे आजोबा 'कै भार्गव नारायण भागवत' उर्फ 'भाऊ' यांनी नोकरीतून निवृत झाल्यावर सन १९५२ रोजी व्यवसायास सुरवात केली. त्या कालानुरूप खानावळ स्वरुपात आम्ही भागवत कुटुंबीय आपल्या सेवेत रुजू झालो. अंदाजे १० वर्षे ह्या स्वरुपात काम केल्यावर दि २५ ऑक्टोबर १९६५ रोजी तत्कालीन सभापती माननीय 'कै.बाळासाहेब भारदे साहेब' व हिंदू-हृद्यसम्राट माननीय 'कै. बाळासाहेब ठाकरे साहेब' यांच्या शुभाशिर्वादाने 'तृप्ती ' उपाहारगृहाचे उदघाटन झाले.

आर्थिक परिस्थीती बेताचीच असूनही भाऊनी सुरु केलेला हा व्यवसाय त्यांच्या चारही मुलांच्या मदतीने अडचणींवर मात करीत भरभराटीस येत होता. पहिली दोन मुले(कै. अप्पा व कै. दादा) नोकरीत असल्याने, व्यवसायाची जबाबदारी कै. विनायक (बापूं) वर सोपवून भाऊ व्यवसायातून निवृत झाले. बापूनी हा व्यवसाय त्यातले शिक्षण प्राप्त करून घेत नेटाने सांभाळला.

काही काळ बापूंच्या प्रकृती अस्वास्थ्या मुळे हा व्यवसाय चालवावयास द्यावा लागला. त्या काळात माननीय कै. गोविंद सरपोतदार व माननीय श्री भाऊ सरजोशी (सध्याच्या हॉटेल आस्वाद चे मालक) यांनी त्यांना मोलाची साथ दिली. त्या दोघांनी त्यांची जबाबदारी उत्तम रित्या पार पाडून 'तृप्ती' चा नावलौकिक सांभाळला-वाढविला.

सन १९८९ ते १९९४ या इमारत पुनर्बांधणीच्या काळात मात्र तृप्ती पूर्ण बंद राहिली. हा काळ तृप्तीसाठी मोठ्या स्थित्यंतराचा म्हणावा लागेल.

दि २५ मे १९९४ रोजी पुन्हा एकदा हिंदू-हृद्यसम्राट माननीय 'कै. बाळासाहेब ठाकरे साहेब' ह्यांच्या शुभाशिर्वादाने 'तृप्ती' ग्राहकांच्या सेवेत रुजू झाली.

ह्या काळात भागवतांची पुढची पिढी माननीय श्री भाऊ सरजोशी ह्यांच्या मार्गदर्शनाखाली तृप्ती ह्या व्यवसायात उभी राहिली व स्थिरावली.

तरी आपणा साऱ्यांचे, आपल्या वाडवडीलांचे व आमच्या पूर्वजांचे तसेच वरील कालावधीत आम्हांस मोलाची साथ देणाऱ्या आमच्या हितचिंतकांचे व आमच्या सोबत काम करणाऱ्या सर्वांचे आम्ही 'भागवत कुटुंबीय' ऋणी आहोत.

The Golden Jubilee Year (1965-2015)

We express our sincere gratitude on the occasion of 50th anniversary of Trupti restaurant.

Started by the Bhagwat family on October 25, 1965, the popular vegetarian treat restaurant in Dadar, opp. Plaza Cinema was inaugurated by the then speaker Balasaheb Bharde and Hindu Hridaysamrat Balasaheb Thackeray. Due to their blessings it had always been an upward journey for Trupti. Started with the motto 'Customer is God' Trupti has earned a name for itself among the Maharashtrian food connoisseurs in the city over the years. Trupti has created treasured memories for generations of guests over the period of 50 years.

Renewed look, seating arrangement according to changing times and inclusion of variety of cuisines on its menu remained distinctive qualities of Trupti. The customer –oriented approach always helped Trupti to improvise in a positive way; no wonder home delivery, parcel service and catering service on variety of occasions received tremendous response.

Delicious food, cleanliness, neat and tidiness, personal- cordial relations with the customers and respectable treatment to them remained Trupti's forte. These are the principles that guide the business run by a Maharashtrian family. The business is now managed by the third generation.

After having a lot of shopping or watching a play or movie at Dadar many families preferred to have Maharashtrian lunch & snacks at Trupti.

Discerning food enthusiasts regularly visited Trupti to enjoy Maharahstrian cuisines in authentic form.

We at Trupti always believed that the way to a man's heart is through his stomach. By serving quality food Trupti won affection and maintained cordial relations with its varied customers that included politicians, writers, poets, artists from theatre world, other dignitaries and of course common people. Warmth and affection became the very identity of Trupti.

Trupti started out serving Maharashtrian delicacies but also evolved to cater to the choices of vegetarians seeking food of other regions. After 1994, along with Maharashtrian cuisines it included Udipi dishes, Fast food like Pav Bhaji, Pizza, Sandwiches, Juices, Milkshakes, Falooda, Ice cream and Fruit salad on its menu.

Trupti was renovated again in 2006. Along with comfortable ambience it also became air-conditioned. Today, as market demands, it serves chats, Punjabi and Chinese dishes as well.

Acknowledgements

Our grandfather Late Bhargav Narayan Bhagwat alias Bhau started a restaurant in 1952 after his retirement. It was more like a dining hall and continued serving the customers for ten years. On October 25, 1965 renovated Trupti restaurant was inaugurated by the then speaker, late Balasaheb Bharde and Hindu Hridaysamarat Balasaheb Thackeray. Despite facing many hardships the business started by Bhau flourished; thanks to the hard work put in by his four sons. As the two elder sons-- late Appa and late Dada were working elsewhere Bhau handed over the responsibility of running the restaurant business to Late Vinayak (Bapu) and retired from the business. Bapu maintained the business by mastering all the necessary skills.

Due to Bapu's illness the business was handed over for some time. During the difficult period late Govind Sarpotdar and shri Bhau Sarjoshi (owner of Aswad hotel) provided the invaluable support. Both of them carried out the responsibility efficiently and worked diligently for its prosperity.
On May 25, 1994 Trupti once again had an honor to be blessed by Hindu Hridaysamarat Balasaheb Thackeray.

Around this time the third generation of Bhagwat family entered the business and soon settled under the capable guidance of shri Bhau Sarjoshi. We are well-aware that the growth was possible due to the love and affection showered on us by thousands of customers, well-wishers and advisers like you.

We are thankful to our ancestors, our valued employees, all the associates and of course all of you who remained with us for all these years.
Your valuable suggestions are welcome in this regard. We hope to receive constant love and affection from you and strengthen the ties further.
